Scholarships

The Community Foundation of the North State manages many scholarship funds that are awarded to graduating high school seniors as well as students already in an undergraduate program. Some scholarships were started by families or individuals; others by businesses or organizations. All scholarships share one important focus: helping young people reach their educational goals.

Savage Scholarship Fund

An opportunity that is paid out over 4 semesters for Shasta and Trinity high school students with financial need.

Pat and Jackie Savage established the Savage Scholarship Fund to help motivated students who want a better life for themselves, and to give them a chance to join the world of work as soon as possible with training and confidence. Renewable awards will be given to students who demonstrate initiative, maintain a C-average GPA, and who wish to go to an eligible college or trade school. Graduating high school seniors from Southern Trinity High School, Hayfork High School, Trinity High School, Anderson High School, Anderson New Technology High School, Enterprise High School, Shasta High School, and West Valley High School are invited to apply.

The Adolph Coors Public Policy Grant Programs support organizations that embody western values like self-reliance and personal responsibility. The Foundation prioritizes initiatives that promote youth prosperity, economic opportunities for adults, and public policies reflecting America’s founding principles. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations, with a focus on rural Colorado nonprofits. The Ernst Family Scholarship, established by Ernst Enterprises, Inc. in 2018, supports children of employees pursuing post-high school education.
