Funding is prioritized for programs addressing critical community needs, while limited support is available for local initiatives like disaster relief and arts. Organizations must demonstrate fiscal stability and potential impact to be considered for funding.

The African-American Community Foundation - Hazel Carter Scott Scholarship, established in 2006 by The Dayton Foundation, aims to support graduating high school African-American students from Montgomery County. It provides scholarships to those planning to attend a four-year post-secondary institution full-time. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and achieve at least a 21 on the ACT or its SAT equivalent, while also demonstrating financial need.

The African-American Community Foundation - Scott Neal Simpson Scholarship, established in 1999 by The Dayton Foundation, honors Scott Simpson, a promising athlete and scholar. This scholarship supports Montgomery County high school graduates pursuing higher education at accredited institutions. With a focus on leadership, academic achievement, and community involvement, it aims to empower students who demonstrate resilience and dedication to their education, fostering a brighter future for the community.

Kiwanis Club of Marietta members participate in service projects, hold fundraisers, and change children’s lives in our community. In addition, club members contribute to Kiwanis International initiatives helping clubs around the world assist children with education, basic needs, and medical care.

The Kiwanis Club of Marietta has proudly established and contributed to several scholarship endowments over the years to support deserving college students in our community. These scholarships are made possible through our club's Flag Project, which places over 1,300 American flags in front of homes and businesses five times each year.

Scott Chadwick Scholarship for Emerging Leaders

This memorial scholarship was established in 2020 by the Marietta Kiwanis Foundation in honor of former Club President and outstanding community servant leader, Scott Chadwick.

With nearly 200 years of nursing service from family members, this fund not only commemorates Edwin and Ina Ayers but also empowers future generations of nurses dedicated to compassionate care.

The Hansen Family Foundation Grant seeks to empower organizations that uphold the American values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Focused on diverse causes like children, education, animals, environmental conservation, humanitarian efforts, and arts, the foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that create positive change. The foundation emphasizes mission alignment and effective resource allocation to ensure maximum impact.

The Scott Community Foundation's General Fund Grant aims to support charitable initiatives that align with its mission of enhancing community welfare in Scott County. The foundation focuses on assisting organizations in achieving their philanthropic goals while promoting inclusive participation in local growth. The TJX Foundation Grants support nonprofit organizations located within 15 miles of a TJX store that align with their community mission. Eligible areas include basic needs, education for at-risk youth, workforce training, and safety from domestic violence. Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) for at least 12 months and have a nondiscrimination policy. Applications are invited through a Letter of Inquiry, with funding decisions based on community impact.

The Scott Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving local wealth so the communities in and around Scott County will forever remain attractive places to live, work, and raise a family.

We accomplish our mission by:

• Assisting individuals, businesses, and community organizations in achieving their own charitable goals;
• Creating opportunities for individual and collective charitable giving so that every resident, regardless of social or economic circumstance, can participate in the growth of their community;
• An understanding of the ever-changing payment / reimbursement landscape
• Attracting, building, and managing permanent endowment funds in a prudent and principled manner;
• Investing time and money into projects that address the current and future needs of area residents;
• And by increasing awareness and public engagement on important issues and projects.

Youth Grant

This grant is unique and projects will be reviewed and money allocated by our panel of high school students.
