The Foundation emphasizes diversity, equality, and non-discrimination, ensuring that funding is accessible to a wide array of community projects while adhering to specific eligibility criteria.

The ArtsWave Pride Grant Program aims to foster inclusive arts experiences that resonate with the LGBTQIA community. By funding arts and cultural heritage projects, it seeks to enhance Cincinnati's reputation as an inclusive city. This program supports both the development of new creative initiatives and the operational needs of existing ones, encouraging projects that extend beyond traditional Pride celebrations. Applicants are urged to craft projects that align with these goals throughout the year.

The Louise Taft Semple Foundation Grant aims to enhance the quality of life in Cincinnati, Ohio, by providing financial support for artistic, cultural, educational, civic, and social service projects. The foundation prioritizes funding for the local arts community, education institutions promoting arts, and civic initiatives. Applicants must be tax-exempt organizations and wait two years between proposals. Notably, the foundation does not support general operating expenses, individual scholarships, or projects already completed.

Responsible Fatherhood Initiative: Strong Fathers, Strong Families

The purpose of this RFGA is to solicit Applications for DCY, through the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood, to implement the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative to strengthen father engagement across Ohio. The initiative will provide fathers with resources, support, and encouragement to enhance their parenting role, including a statewide media campaign and locally delivered services.

This RFGA is being issued pursuant to Ohio House Bill 96 and Ohio Revised Code (R.C.) 5180.706. DCY will award a total of $1.8 million annually to support services across 12 counties. Funding is set at $150,000 per county, per state fiscal year. Each Application must clearly identify the specific county to be served. Future phases will expand the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative to include all counties across Ohio.

Applicants may submit up to four applications in a single submission through the GMS system. When applying for multiple counties, each county must be submitted as a separate, clearly labeled document, and all selected counties must fall within the same designated region as defined in Exhibit 1. Each application will be reviewed and scored independently.

Applicants must demonstrate that they have, or will secure, an appropriate service location within the proposed county—whether an existing site it operates or a partner facility—to ensure equal access for fathers. Applications must demonstrate capacity to deliver county-based programming that (1) engages fathers, parents, and mentors, (2) reaches high-need populations, and (3) builds partnerships that strengthen local support systems.

The overarching objective of this Grant is to improve outcomes for children and families by equipping fathers with the tools, resources, and support needed to build stable, positive relationships with their children.

The Enbridge Safe Community First Responder Program is designed to support emergency response organizations across Canada and the U.S. by providing grants for safety equipment, training, and educational programs. Launched in 2002, it has invested over $22 million in enhancing community safety. Eligible organizations include fire departments and medical services located near Enbridge operations. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $10,000, helping improve the capabilities of first responders in rural and underserved areas.

Who We Are

The Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati is an apostolic Catholic community of women religious that exists to carry out the Gospel of Jesus Christ through service and prayer in the world.

Sister Elise Fund Grant

These small grants are requested by a Sister of Charity. Eligible organizations include:

• those where a Sister is currently involved in the nonprofit organization as a board or committee member, paid staff member or regular volunteer, or
• those either founded by a Sister of Charity, or at one time had Sisters involved.

The grant was named in honor of Sister Elise Halloran, SC, who served as treasurer for the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati from 1944 to 1965. Sister Elise was widely known for her financial acumen and stewardship of investments, as well as her strong faith, kindness, perseverance, care for those in poverty, and her support of Catholic education.

You Need to Know:

• Grant funds must be used for the specific purpose identified in the Sister Elise Grant Fund application. Once granted, any change in purpose must be approved in advance by the endorsing Sister(s) and SC Ministry Foundation before funds are spent.
• The authority and accountability for all requests to the Sister Elise Grant Fund rests with the nonprofit’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
• Supplies or minor equipment funded through the request become the property of the nonprofit organization.
• The Sister Elise Grant may not be used to fund a Sister of Charity of Cincinnati’s salary or benefits.
• Due to our fiduciary and stewardship responsibility, SC Ministry Foundation reserves the right to approve or decline all requests.
• Upon conclusion of the grant, the organization is required to contact the Sister of Charity who supported the grant to describe the results of the project and usage of the funds.

The Stephen H. Wilder Foundation Grant supports innovative public policy projects in Cincinnati, focusing on political discourse and informed policy. Established in the 1940s, the foundation allocates funding primarily for studies affecting civic issues in the region. Grants range from $5,000 to $10,000, aimed at fostering initiatives that engage the community in meaningful discussions on civic matters.

The NOPEC Foundation Fund offers grants primarily to nonprofit organizations within NOPEC communities, focusing on health, economic development, community development, environment, and social services. Grants typically range from $10,000 to $40,000, aiming to address diverse community needs that are often overlooked by traditional funding sources. Eligible applicants are those operating significantly within NOPEC areas, ensuring support reaches those most in need.

The Catalyzing Impact Grant Program by ArtsWave aims to enhance community connections and economic vitality in Greater Cincinnati through arts and cultural heritage projects. This program encourages diverse programming aligned with the goals outlined in the Blueprint for Collective Action. Eligible projects can be new or existing, focusing on expanding impact by reaching new audiences or deepening existing initiatives, ultimately fostering a more vibrant arts landscape in the region.

West End Grants

FC Cincinnati Foundation is proud to support the West End with our Grants Program which supports community-building initiatives within the West End neighborhood. A minimum of $100,000 in grants will be invested in the West End on an annual basis through this grants program.

To qualify for a grant, the applicant’s initiative must support community-building initiatives within the West End neighborhood. Applicants should also be a 501(c)3 organization in good standing.

Organizations are encouraged to seek endorsement for their application from the West End Community Council. While this is not required, it is helpful for us to understand the priorities of neighborhood leadership as we make grant determinations.

Donations are a way for FC Cincinnati to give back to local non-profit's as they are hosting fundraisers and events. These donations include, but are not limited to FCC signed merchandise items, FCC apparel items, and on special occasion, tickets to matches. Donations allow FC Cincinnati to show up across the city and support causes that are important to our fans, allowing us to connect with fans in a way that is meaningful to them. These items allow non-profits to use the donation for fundraising efforts and supporting their organization to raise money for a specific cause.

The Daniel and Susan Pfau Foundation, established in 1994, focuses on enhancing education, health, cultural experiences, and social welfare for youth with disabilities and economic challenges in the Greater Cincinnati area. It supports arts organizations and recreation initiatives, prioritizing programs that help young individuals realize their potential. Eligible applicants must be recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofits and demonstrate benefits to specific counties in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. The Foundation encourages collaboration with other donors for project funding.

The Andrew Jergens Foundation Grant, administered by the Greater Cincinnati Foundation, focuses on enhancing the health, education, cultural experiences, and social welfare of children in the Greater Cincinnati area. With a commitment to supporting programs for children through high school, the foundation seeks to foster vibrant communities by connecting with nonprofits dedicated to improving quality of life. The foundation emphasizes the importance of generous contributions to create lasting change in the region.

English Language Learning Foundation Incorporated

The English Learning Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 2006 to assist English language learners. The mission of the ELL Foundation is to help English learners to become successful in their academic lives while honoring their cultural identities.

Our vision is to assist English learners in the Greater Cincinnati area so that students:

• Appreciate and are proud of their cultural identities;
• Receive the needed support service for their education;
• Graduate from high school and succeed in college;
• And serve their communities as role models.

ELL Foundation’s College Emergency Grant

The College Emergency Grant Program provides emergency assistance of up to $500 for Greater Cincinnati college/ university EL students who are experiencing temporary financial emergencies. The focus areas for the grants include: 

• Student food insecurity (meal plans are eligible)
• Student housing insecurity (student housing is eligible)
• Student transportation barriers (bus passes are eligible)
  • Note that all assistance will be disbursed to the University, and not the student.

Due to funding availability, grantees can only receive one emergency grant per academic year. The ELL Foundation will accept emergency grant applications at any time, but applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. 

English Language Learning Foundation Incorporated

The English Learning Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 2006 to assist English language learners. The mission of the ELL Foundation is to help English learners to become successful in their academic lives while honoring their cultural identities.

ELL Foundation’s Educational Event Grant Program

The ELL Foundation’s Educational Event Grant Program is intended to financially support co-curricular and curricular educational events for K-12 English learners in Greater Cincinnati. Community partners can request up to $2000 for an educational event. Due to funding availability, grantees can only receive one Educational Event Grant per calendar year. The ELL Foundation will accept Educational Event Grant applications at any time, but they will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.

Interact For Health

Our organization started in 1997, when ChoiceCare sold its health maintenance organization to Humana for $221 million. The proceeds were invested and The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati was created, serving a 20-county region in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. The foundation was charged with changing the way health care was delivered—especially for under-resourced communities.

Our mission is to ensure people in our region have a just opportunity to live their healthiest lives. Our Vision is focused on people in our region being healthy and thriving, regardless of who they are or where they live.

Interact For Health: Event Sponsorship

Interact for Health provides sponsorships as a way to support organizations within Greater Cincinnati with funding beyond our grantmaking work. Sponsorships are a competitive process, and funding is limited. We prioritize sponsoring events that serve our priority populations, align with our strategic plan, and benefit (and are located in) our 20-county service area.

In general, sponsorship opportunities are meant to benefit organizations that are not current grantees of Interact for Health. 

International Paper Grants focus on community engagement, emphasizing education, hunger relief, health & wellness, and disaster relief. They support nonprofit organizations that demonstrate good financial standing and effective management. Eligible organizations must operate in areas where International Paper has facilities. The foundation prioritizes local needs, particularly critical and environmental issues, while encouraging employee involvement. Ineligible entities include private foundations and those without a local presence. Applications are accepted through mid-September in the U.S. and Canada.

The Donald C. and Laura M. Harrison Family Foundation, established in 2006, aims to enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged students in the Greater Cincinnati area. With a focus on innovative programs and scholarships, the foundation supports initiatives in primary, secondary, and adult education. Grants range from $5,000 to $15,000 annually, promoting sustainability and collaboration with other donors. Eligible applicants must be IRS-designated 501(c)(3) organizations, prioritizing local community impact.

The Thomas J. Emery Memorial Grant, established by prominent Cincinnati philanthropists, aims to enhance the lives of individuals in the Greater Cincinnati area through grants that support social, cultural, educational, civic, and physical betterment. Founded in 1925, the grant prioritizes nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status, focusing on collaborative projects and impactful initiatives, while not providing ongoing operational support. This initiative honors the legacy of Thomas and Mary Emery in fostering community development.

The AIA Dayton Architectural Scholarship, administered by AIA Dayton, supports high school seniors and college students from the Dayton/Miami Valley region pursuing a degree in architecture at a NAAB-accredited institution. Eligible applicants must have graduated from a local high school or be college students attending an accredited architecture program in Ohio. This initiative aims to foster the next generation of architects by providing financial assistance to deserving students.

The Erma A. Bantz Foundation, established to honor Erma Bantz's legacy, focuses on enhancing the lives of individuals with visual impairments. Located in Cincinnati, the Foundation supports local nonprofit organizations that assist the visually impaired, having allocated 60% of its resources to this cause. While it previously funded hearing impairment initiatives, it no longer accepts grant requests for such purposes. The Foundation encourages collaborative funding for specific projects, reinforcing community support.

The Fidelity Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations that aim for high impact in areas like Arts, Education, and Health. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations with operating budgets over $1 million and project budgets of at least $100,000. The foundation seeks transformative projects that enhance efficiency and sustainability. However, it does not fund start-up organizations, capital campaigns without prior support, or emergency funding, ensuring a focus on long-term effectiveness.

The AIA Fellowship for Study in the U.S. supports archaeologists employed by the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI) and project collaborators. This post-doctoral research fellowship encourages high-quality scholarship and fosters connections between North American and DAI scholars. It covers travel expenses, housing, library access, and living stipends for a minimum two-month residency at UCLA, Brown University, or the University of Cincinnati, with opportunities for lectures and engagement in academic life.

L3Harris Technologies is collaborating with Project Lead The Way (PLTW) to expand STEM education for PreK-12 students. This initiative aims to inspire young learners through enhanced PLTW programs starting in the 2025-2026 academic year. Eligible schools, including public and charter institutions in specified counties, can receive grants of $5,000 to support program expansion. The focus is on providing resources for new modules, teacher training, and ensuring access for diverse and economically challenged communities.

L3Harris Technologies has partnered with Project Lead The Way (PLTW) to inspire PreK-12 students in STEM fields, providing $20,000 in grants for schools to launch and expand PLTW programs starting in the 2025-2026 academic year.
