Midwest Asset Management University Program

Operating, maintaining, and preserving affordable housing is complex and requires a specialized set of skills and a deep organizational commitment to asset management. Today, affordable housing providers face a variety of economic, operational, and compliance challenges, including rising operating costs, rental arrears, staffing shortages, and an aging portfolio.

Enterprise is launching its first Asset Management University (AMU) Program in the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, and/or Minnesota) in March 2026 to support mission-aligned, affordable housing providers in meeting these challenges in their efforts to provide housing stability to residents and preserve the long-term affordability of properties.

The Midwest AMU is a comprehensive, five-month training program that seeks to strengthen the asset and property management capabilities of participating housing providers, improving organizations’ capacity to oversee the financial, physical, and operational health of their housing portfolios.

Midwest Asset Management University Cohort 

Enterprise is excited to offer this application for participation in the Asset Management University (AMU) Cohort (the “Cohort”). Up to fifteen (15) eligible organizations will be selected for this Cohort and will receive access to online training offered by the Consortium of Housing and Asset Management (CHAM), peer learning opportunities, and post-training technical assistance.

The Janesville Multicultural Teacher Scholarship (JMTS) is a renewable scholarship aimed at high school students from multicultural backgrounds pursuing a career in education. Sponsored by The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, this program requires applicants to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 and commit to applying for employment within the School District of Janesville after receiving their Educator Certification. It promotes diversity in teaching and supports students in their educational aspirations.

About Us

Marshfield Area Community Foundation, Inc. is a public, 501-C-3 charity. There are 30 community foundations in Wisconsin and more than 750 in the nation. The purpose of all community foundations is to accumulate charitable dollars that impact a specific geographic region in areas such as education, the arts, economic development, recreation, environmental protection, health care, and social services. They may be relatively small, as we are (assets of $14 million), or very large, as is the Greater Milwaukee Foundation (assets over $400 million).

Most people are familiar with private foundations, established by individuals, families, or corporations. Typically, in order to establish a private foundation, one has to have considerable wealth. You could say Community Foundations are much more democratic. We are, in a sense, an umbrella foundation containing many small foundations. We call those small foundations “funds.”

Terry & Allean Frankland Scholarship (2025)

The James Beckum Player/Coach Scholarship Program, established by the Brewers Community Foundation, supports educational opportunities for Wisconsin youth. Named after James Beckum, a former Negro League player, this one-year scholarship varies between $1,000 and $2,500. To qualify, recipients must maintain a GPA of 2.8 or higher and complete at least 12 credits each semester, while also participating in a pre-game ceremony at the ballpark.

The Cudahy Fund offers general community grants focusing on social services, health, education, environment, and arts for under-resourced populations in Metropolitan Chicago and Wisconsin. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. The fund aims to support initiatives that enhance community well-being, providing safety nets for marginalized groups and promoting access to quality education and cultural experiences. This fund does not support individual grants or projects outside its geographic focus.

The Allan H. Selig Scholarship Program offers financial support to graduating seniors from Wisconsin high schools, who are accepted to colleges or universities in the state. Established in honor of former Commissioner Bud Selig, the program provides $2,500 annually, renewable for up to four years, totaling $10,000. Recipients must maintain a 2.8 GPA, complete 12 credits each semester, and attend a pre-game ceremony. This initiative underscores a commitment to educational excellence in Wisconsin.

Altrusa International of Marshfield Scholarship

This scholarship is for a non-traditional/returning student from the Marshfield area. Applicant must be attending/plan to attend UWSP at Marshfield or Mid-State Technical College pursuing an undergraduate degree. Preference to an applicant showing motivation and character, & past academic performance.

The Doug & Janice Steinback Family Scholarship is offered by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin to assist students from Southwest Wisconsin pursuing degrees in agriculture, life sciences, biology, or chemistry. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and may receive preference if they demonstrate involvement in community activities or financial need. This scholarship aims to support local high school graduates from specific counties in their academic endeavors.

The Amy Kerwin-Kobishop Accounting Scholarship, administered by Scholarship America Inc, supports high school seniors and current college students pursuing full-time undergraduate studies in Accounting or Finance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse during the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. This scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers to education, promoting academic success for underrepresented and underserved students.

The Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame Scholarships, including the Jeff Baum Aviation Business & Jim Quinn Flight School Scholarship, provide essential financial support to Wisconsin residents pursuing careers in aviation or aerospace. With over $300,000 awarded annually, these scholarships empower students from diverse educational backgrounds to achieve their goals. Established to honor aviation leaders, these scholarships not only aid in education but also promote community engagement and excellence in the aviation field.

The Carl Guell Memorial Scholarship, established in 2002, supports Wisconsin residents pursuing careers in aviation or aerospace. This scholarship awards $1,000 annually to a dedicated student, reflecting the mission of the Wisconsin Aviation Hall of Fame to enhance community quality of life through education. Eligible applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate passion for the field, and be active in their communities. Over $300,000 in scholarships supports students from preschool to post-graduate levels.

Dr. Roger Van Der Vorste Fund Scholarship

This scholarship is for a student in the MACFI service area who plans to attend a school in the UW system, WI Technical College, or Marquette full-time, pursuing an undergraduate degree. Preference to program of study leading to degree in dentistry or dental hygiene. Student should show academic merit, character, and motivation. Renewable for 1 year.

The Elam Baer and Janis Clay Epilepsy Scholarship, administered by Scholarship America, aims to eliminate financial barriers for students with epilepsy. This scholarship is open to residents of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, or Iowa, who are high school seniors or current college students. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, a passion for aviation, and be enrolled in an aviation program in Wisconsin. The Sidney & Ruth Julson Scholarship, established in 2023, honors the legacy of the Julsons, former owners of Four Lakes Aviation. The Curt Marzolf Memorial Scholarship, managed by The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, offers financial assistance to graduating seniors from Monroe, Argyle, Juda, or South Wayne high schools pursuing engineering studies at accredited colleges. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum GPA of 2.5 and provide proof of disability. This initiative reflects the foundation's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and matching personal philanthropy with community needs, ensuring a lasting impact in Southern Wisconsin.

The Kyle R. Long Scholarship, managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, aims to support graduating seniors from the Medford area who have special educational needs or learning disabilities. Scholarships encourage these students to pursue post-secondary education in any field. In total, over $300,000 will be awarded to more than 200 students across north central Wisconsin, reflecting a commitment to enhancing community life through educational opportunities.

This scholarship is for a graduate of MHS, Columbus or Marshfield Alternative School who is enrolled at UWSP at Marshfield full-time pursuing an undergraduate degree. Preference to student majoring in business or economics and student who shows academic merit, character, and motivation.

The Carol Hoops Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin Scholarship provides essential financial support to graduating seniors, GED graduates, and both traditional and non-traditional college students from Northcentral Wisconsin. This scholarship aims to empower students involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program for at least six months, helping them pursue their educational and career aspirations. With over $300,000 in scholarships awarded annually, the initiative significantly enhances the quality of life in the community.

The L.B. Research and Education Foundation Grant Program supports U.S.-based nonprofits focusing on innovative education and health solutions for underserved populations. Eligible organizations can apply by submitting a 400-word concept paper, and selected applicants may receive funding ranging from $10,000 to $75,000. The Foundation prioritizes projects that foster critical thinking and creativity, address health disparities, and encourage collaboration. There are no application deadlines, promoting year-round engagement.

The AROW Global Corporation Scholarship, established in 2022, provides up to $1,500 for high school seniors from central Wisconsin. This scholarship supports students who plan to attend accredited colleges, universities, or technical schools in any field. A total of over $300,000 in scholarships will be awarded to more than 200 students through the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, enhancing educational opportunities and community growth.

The AROW Family Members Scholarship, funded by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, offers scholarships up to $5,000 for family members of AROW employees. Established in 2022, it supports students pursuing post-secondary education in engineering or other fields. Eligibility includes being a high school senior accepted into college or technical school. Over $300,000 in scholarships will be awarded to more than 200 students from the region, enhancing educational opportunities and community growth.

The AROW Global Corporation Engineering Scholarship, established by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, awards two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in engineering.
